Janine A Plumb, writing under the pen name J A Plumb, has spent more than 30 years supporting and teaching young people with additional needs. This work gave her a deep appreciation for the power of imagination, empathy and storytelling, which now inspire her magical children’s books.
Her debut book Seluna Cottage – The Big Move is the first in the Welcome to the Magical World of Oogley series. The stories draw on Janine’s love for her family, especially her grandchildren, who helped spark the enchanting world of Oogley.
Writing has become both a creative outlet and a way of honouring her late mother, whose belief in all things magical encouraged Janine to follow her dream of becoming an author. Through her stories, she hopes to remind children and adults alike that wonder can be found in the most unexpected places… even behind a creaky garden gate.
